At VetDentist we believe that a crucial part of our role is the education of clients, Veterinary students, nurses and practitioners about the importance of veterinary dentistry. We also believe that by helping to train other vets, nurses and students in the techniques of veterinary dentistry we can contribute to improving the quality of care for many pets.
In addition to providing regular courses and lectures, we also visit practices and deliver training in-house. This way we can assist practices in selecting appropriate equipment for their needs – as well as help them make the best use of it.
We are also in the process of developing our own in-house webinar training system. This can be delivered stand-alone – or in conjunction with the innovative Training-Progress training management system.
Lectures and Courses
Bob is known as an enthusiastic speaker, illustrating his talks with many detailed photographs and images. His practical approach to veterinary dentistry, based on a firm grounding in the needs of first opinion practices, makes his lectures and presentations relevant to a wide audience.
His favourite courses are ones that combine lectures with practical sessions, and he has been delighted to be associated with Improve International in providing their dental courses for many years. Courses are run at Improve’s headquarters in Swindon and their fantastic new facility in Sheffield.

In Practice Training
One very rewarding way of training your team is to hold an in-practice training session. These are usually held over one or two days. A combination of lectures and practical demonstrations can be held. Sometimes it is possible to include local cases for treatment (these need to be prearranged, and suitable equipment needs to be available).
The sessions are very much oriented to the needs of the practice. VetDentist can provide nurses to assist in the training of your own team in equipment care.
The first priority is to decide what you want to achieve from the session. VetDentist will then try and work with you to achieve the best results possible. To discuss your requirements fill out our contact form, we will get in touch to tailor a session to provide you with the best outcome.
In-Practice training is usually charged at a day rate, plus travel, accommodation and expenses as required.
