I took m elderly cat, Copper, to Oak Beck for a second opinion with a large infected ulcer in his mouth. As soon as the phone was answered (by Jane) I was able to hand over most of my concerns to a very capable team. Copper was seen the same day and referred to Bob Partridge the mouth an dental specialist whose expertise in this field I had had previously experienced. Mr Partridge explained how he proposed to approach the problem clearly and concisely. X ray and the CT scan which followed showed retained root fragments from previous dental extractions. The surgery to remove them was lengthy and painstakingly carried out and required the removal of quite a large area of infected tissue. I was updated on Copper’s progress regularly by Mr Partridge and the nursing team and any concerns I had about Copper coping with the surgery where put to rest by the exemplary post op care he received. I couldn’t believe how quickly he was back to normal. Oak Beck is a complete package from the initial phone call right through to discharge and every member of the team plays their part. Everything I hoped for and more beside but I guess it was just another day at the office for the Oak Beck team!
Thank you very much for your kind review. There is really no such thing as “another day at the office” – every day brings new and different challenges. Our aim is to try and tackle every problem and to get the best possible results we can – for the pets and for the owners. We firmly believe that trying to keep owners informed – both of our plans and of patient’s progress is an integral part of the care we wish to provide. I’m really pleased that we have achieved our aim in this case.
We are all really pleased with Copper’s progress and we know that it is only with such a caring and concerned owner that he has done so well.
